Position: Recruiter (Entry Level - non commission)

General Job Function

The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day talent acquisition operations, and carrying out a variety of duties including but not limited to those listed below:

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing qualified candidates
  • Contact candidates for initial screening
  • Analyze candidates’ language qualifications
  • Positively promote open positions on company social media accounts, job boards, at community events, college fairs, etc.
  • Prepare applicants/linguists for government background investigations
  • Post and update job openings
  • Create, update and maintain workflow of candidates in applicant tracking system
  • Research new avenues for recruiting
  • Keep records of candidate interviews and report them to recruitment manager and EEO/AA Compliance Officer
  • Meet specific goals by referring new candidates to apply on Metlang’s website
  • All other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Interpersonal and communication skills that establish rapport, trust, confidence and credibility
  • Honesty, integrity and professionalism
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, and great attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms and employment job boards
  • Work well under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
  • High school graduate

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience a plus
  • 1 year of prior recruiting/sales experience
  • 1 year of previous human resources experience
  • Fluent in language/s other than English
  • Prior experience fingerprinting applicants
  • Prior ATS, HRIS experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with EEO and Affirmative Action compliance requirements

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Recruiting Assistant job. They include the ability to talk, hear, see, sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate keys on a keyboard or telephone pad, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
