Description

Metlang is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support operations in the Eastern US. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of duties, which include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries about HR policies and procedures.
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, terminations, etc.).
  • Respond to employee relations matters such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and Title VII allegations.
  • Coach, counsel, and guide supervisors through employee relations matters.
  • Manage LOAs and ADA accommodations.
  • Assist with responding to occupational health and safety matters.
  • Assist with policy and process development.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment regulations and assist in the implementation of compliance requirements as directed by the HR Director.
  • Assist with training and development initiatives.
  • Perform a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Assist HR Director with projects and research as assigned.
  • Provide support to other staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

General Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years human resources experience directly involved in addressing employee relations matters.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills that establish rapport, trust, confidence, and credibility.
  • Honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, and great attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills and works well under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional follow through.
  • Self-reliable, resourceful, responsible, and good work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Typing abilities to meet or exceed 40 wpm.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to occasionally travel regionally and out of state (post pandemic).

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Human Resources Generalist job. They include the ability to talk, hear, see, sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate keys on a keyboard or telephone pad, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
